How much smaller will my PDF get?
It depends on the file. PDFs full of photos or scans often shrink by 50 to 80 percent. PDFs that are mostly text are already small, so the change is smaller.
Will the text still be selectable?
With Low and Recommended, yes. Extreme may turn pages into images when that is the only way to make the file much smaller, and the tool tells you when it did that.
